Bred by and foaled at Dr. Douglas Koch's Berkshire Stud in Pine Plains in partnership with the Oak Cliff Stable of Houston businessman Tom Tatham, this colt is a half-brother to seven runners, all New York-bred winners (among them, Elisa's Energy at Saratoga since the catalog). His half-siblings include New York Thoroughbred Breeders (NYTB) champions Private Emblem (Grade 2 winner of $783,152) and Rhum ($306,234). Berkshire Stud and Oak Cliff also bred this colt's dam, Merion Miss, in New York from the winning and Grade 3-placed Storm Bird mare, Curlew.
