Merion Miss with her Distant View colt - KEE 9/05-
$190,000 for Hip No. 1352, a colt by Distant View - Merion Miss, by Halo, consigned by Denali Stud (Craig and Holly Bandoroff), Agent XLVIII, and purchased by Robert Ryan of Farmington, Minnesota. Bred by and foaled at Dr. Douglas Koch's Berkshire Stud in Pine Plains in partnership with the Oak Cliff Stable of Houston businessman Tom Tatham, this colt is a half-brother to seven runners, all New York-bred winners (among them, Elisa's Energy at Saratoga since the catalog). His half-siblings include New York Thoroughbred Breeders (NYTB) champions Private Emblem (Grade 2 winner of $783,152) and Rhum ($306,234). Berkshire Stud and Oak Cliff also bred this colt's dam, Merion Miss, in New York from the winning and Grade 3-placed Storm Bird mare, Curlew.

This is the mother of my old horse, shorty, who passed away in a fire. She looks lik an amazing horse just like he was. But this is an amazing picture!
